Burrell Behavioral Health partners with Preferred Family Healthcare

At least 60{f9a9d0c078b99c5035c80896b16d2b484abb346d07724230e395ff1864e1808b} of Burrell Behavioral Health clients in Columbia do not have a primary care physician.

Through a clinic partnership, Burrell seeks to change that.

The mental health services provider is partnering with Preferred Family Healthcare, which will provide primary care at Burrell’s Stephens Lake office location through Preferred Family’s Clarity Healthcare subsidiary.

Renovations are underway at the office located at 1805 E. Walnut St. in preparation of bringing in primary care doctors to the practice by Jan. 20.

“There is some space build-out that needs to happen,” said Matt Lemmon, Burrell vice president of communications. “We are still working out the final details, but we are making some space in the clinic for those primary services.”
